Poem – Imblance (By Gary Beck)

Imbalance

 

Disadvantaged,

a common word

in America,

used to dismiss millions

from opportunity,

and as they succumb

to idleness, crime, waste,

many might have been

contributors of worth

to a declining society

slowly being strangled

by the privileged.

 

Author Bio:

Gary Beck has spent most of his adult life as a theater director, and as an art dealer when he couldn’t make a living in theater. He has 11 published chapbooks and 3 more accepted for publication.
